Our featured speaker for March is Reverand Ben Scott, President of the Topeka Unit NAACP. Reverand Scott will discuss the Human/Civil Rights March/Rally hosted in Topeka last Saturday. He will address the purpose of the march, Governor Brownback’s proposed intention of eliminating the Human Rights Commission, and concerns of the public regarding the issue.

The Shawnee County Democratic Party executive board meets Saturday, January 8, at 10 am in the Ramada Hotel Diner. The committee will work on details for the Bean Feed to be held on January 29. All Shawnee County Democrats are welcome to attend.
